Questions and answers

The short version of how UGSee works. If your question is not here, write to us.

For brands

How do I find a creator?

Search verified creators by category, city, language, tier, format, price and turnaround. Watch their sample videos, then send an offer or post an open brief.

What is the difference between a direct offer and an open brief?

A direct offer goes to one creator with a price. An open brief is posted with a budget per creator and the number you want. Eligible creators apply with a pitch and a price and you choose.

Who owns the video?

You get the original files and the usage rights you chose in the brief: where you can use it, for how long and in which territory. Those rights are printed on the invoice.

Can I ask for changes?

Yes. Two rounds of changes are included in every deal. After that you can approve or open a dispute if the content does not match the brief.

How many briefs can I post?

Up to three open briefs at a time until your first deal is complete. After that there is no limit.

For creators

Do I need followers?

No. UGC creators make content that brands post on their own accounts, so your follower count does not matter. Followers matter only if a brand also wants you to post it.

What do I need to sign up?

A phone, three sample videos, a rate card, your national ID and a selfie. You must be 18 or older. Verifying one social account helps brands find you.

When do I get paid?

After the brand approves, your money is held for 3 days and then paid to your bank account or mobile wallet. Proven and Pro creators wait 1 day.

What if the brand disappears?

If a brand does not respond within 5 days of your delivery the content is approved automatically and your payout starts.

Money

What does UGSee cost?

Brands pay a 15% service fee on top of the job price. Creators pay a 10% fee from it. Both include any tax. There is no subscription.

Where is the money while the work is done?

It is held in escrow from the moment the brand pays until the content is approved. Neither side can move it on their own.

When does a brand get a refund?

In full if the creator misses the deadline. Cancel before paying and nothing is charged. In a dispute the ruling decides.

Do I get an invoice?

Yes. Every completed deal produces the creator's invoice, the UGSee fee invoice and a payment receipt. Creators also get a yearly statement as a PDF and a spreadsheet.

Safety

Why can't I share my phone number?

Deals that move off UGSee lose escrow, refunds and dispute help. Contact details are blocked in messages, bios, briefs and files to keep everyone covered.

Who sees my ID?

Only the small team that checks it. ID images are deleted 90 days after the decision.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, from settings, once you have no deal in progress. You can also download everything we hold about you.
